Today I’m going to share with you how I manage to hit a Homerun every time I give a gift to Olga. It’s all thanks to an incredible company called Evernote. Evernote is a “remember everything” service that give you an easy way to quickly capture things you want to remember. I’ve been using the service for over a year now and Evernote has become my auxiliary brain, allowing me to store and recall everything I’ll ever need to remember about my life and business. I use it to keep track of notes, web pages, photographs, voice memos and scraps of paper, and to store them online in the cloud for easy access on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad (Evernote is also available for Windows, Android, Blackberry, etc).

And as I demonstrate in the video above, I also use Evernote to ensure that I only give Olga gifts that I know she is guaranteed to love. To do this, you need to follow two simple steps.

1. Listen Carefully – I’m always listening for when Olga drops a hint or mentions something she likes – whether it’s a product, clothing, service, restaurant, or show.
2. Document in Evernote – Here is the key. Once Olga drops the hint, I record it ASAP in Evernote. I try to do this as quickly as possible so it is fresh in my mind, but at the same time, I make sure Olga is not around so she has isn’t tipped off that I’m up to something. In the video above, I show you examples of how I do this using Evernote’s amazing tool set.

In sum, there are very few technologies that I use on a daily basis. Evernote is one of them. If you are not using Evernote yet, I urge you to give it a try.
